What Is Seen | Matthew 12:33–42

What is on the inside will eventually be seen on the outside.

In Matthew 12:33–42, Jesus teaches that a tree is known by its fruit and that our words reveal what is stored within our hearts. He also confronts those who continue to demand a sign even though the truth is standing right in front of them.

In this message, “What Is Seen,” we look at what our fruit, our words, and our response to Jesus reveal about the condition of our hearts. Jesus points to the examples of Jonah and the Queen of the South and reminds us that something greater is here.

The Servant | Matthew 12:15–32

In Matthew 12:15–32, we see Jesus revealed as the promised Servant—gentle, humble, and filled with the Spirit of God. As Jesus heals and delivers those in need, the Pharisees respond with accusation rather than faith.

Jesus warns that “every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.” This passage challenges us to recognize who Jesus truly is, understand the work of the Holy Spirit, and consider how we respond to the truth of Christ.
